  1. "Report Scores" tools

    Tools that let TOs run a tournament more effectively- specifically, on the "Report Scores" page we should have (1) A "Being Played" checkbox and corresponding timer (the timer is adjustable per tournament and is the expected length of a match), (2) a disqualification timer (e.g. after calling the match and one player being a no-show, 5mins until DQ), (3) a small note box to write which TV the match is being played on, selectable from a list given at the start (Challonge would then show which TVs are open- have no match being played on them). I feel these would…

  2. Assign dates and location before tournament start

    Would be good if the admins of a tournament could assign the location and dates before the tournament is started. So they have some time to set some matches readdy

  3. Improved API documentation

    Challonge has been promising to update the API for a year and a half, and the Google group appears to be defunct. I'm an app developer and am building some software I would like to have Challonge integration with, but I am struggling to figure out if what I want to do is even possible.

    For example, I want to fetch tournament data and write my own bracket display for any viewer; but the API requires an API key (which only the tournament organizer would have) to fetch data. The documentation states that the api_key is required unless using HTTP…

  5. Support diferent kins of scoring points

    Like in Volleyball you get a point for losing a game on Tiebreak, and u get only two points for winning in tiebreak. And regular wins get 3 points.

  6. Have a Bracket Leaderboard or Featured Brackets Page

    Have featured brackets that may have large amounts of predictions. This could allow a bracket to get more attention by being on a featured brackets page.

  7. Move tournaments to an Organization en masse

    I know tournaments can be added individually to an organization on its settings page, but since I've got some 270 odd tournaments already existing I don't particularly want to do it one by one. As far as I'm aware there's currently no feature for moving them in bulk, it'd be nice to have this.

  8. Allow for the color of the Bottom_bar to be changed when embedding an Iframe.

    My site has a white background so when my theme for iframe is set up I have it looking all nice then BAM! there is a thick grey bar at the bottom which looks bad. I understand putting the logo at the bottom and that loos fine but the grey bar looks bad especially because I have content under the iframe

  9. API: Bulk Update Participant Seeds...

    Lets say I am using the API to run tournaments off my website. A tournament has 16 people signed up. Then I am using jQuery Portlets to allow the organizer to re-arrange the seeds. When he clicks "submit", the system must now do 16 queries to the API to update the seed for each and every participant (technically it only has to do 15, but whatever).

    It would be nice to have this done in a single query... maybe something along the lines with:

    PUT https://api.challonge.com/v1/tournaments/{tournament}/participants/seeds.{json|xml}

    Parameters:
    apikey
    {tournament} (in URL string)
    seeds array( [1] => participant
    id, [2]…

  10. Individual-pairs tournament

    Hello,
    First of all congratulations for your fantastic site. You have done amazing job. I am really excited that I found out about your website.
    I would kindly like to request the following feature.
    We are willing to organize an individual-pair Padel tennis tournament for 12 people. This requires individual pairs for 12 players. Each player partners each of the others exactly once. Each player opposes each of the others exactly twice. The format is as follows:

    i   ii  iii

    1 E+G: I + J L+A:B+H C+F:D+K
    2 L+D:E+K F+ I :G+C H+ J :A+B
    3 I +A: J +F…

  12. Add an option to disable preview of brackets while signups are open

    While there is a text saying "This bracket is a preview and subject to change until the tournament is started", a lot of people don't see this. There really isn't a need for a public preview of the brackets in any case.

  13. Add a second stage format like IPL.

    Basically if four teams qualify then they play like so
    A 1 vs 2
    B 3 vs 4
    C Loser of A vs Winner of B
    D Winner of A vs Winner of C
    1st = D winner
    2nd = D Loser
    3rd = C Loser
    4th = B Loser

  14. Mad Hatter style tournaments

    Mad hatter tournaments are usually used for volleyball tournaments. Names of players are drawn randomly out of a hat to build teams. These teams compete once and then the names are placed back into the hat and drawn randomly again. Each time a game gets played the teams are different. Your win/loss record follows you. It is similar to your round robin but instead of individuals competing, it would be teams. Teams could be as small as 2 people on up. This is a great social mixer.

  17. Tournament emails

    As an admin I would like to be able to email (not PM) all of my tournament participants in one message. PM can only be seen if they log in and a number of my participants rely on email to let them know what is happening.

  18. Poll system

    There should be a possiblity to open up Public polls,
    we often got the case that we variate the type of tournament we host,

    eg.
    Double elimination
    Single Elimination
    Round Robin

    asking ~30 people single is exhausting and takes alot time.
    a Poll system would solve this.

    atm I use Poll-maker.com, but it would be more convenient to have it right on the Challonge site.

    probably as Community feature?

  19. Link the log to the bracket / match details

    Add clickable links in the log that directs to the user to the winning match and/or bring up the same popup as if the user clicked on the match details / attachment so we don't have to search for where the logged action took place.
